A1 re-opens after three-vehicle smash




The A1 has re-opened after the southbound carriageways were closed for an hour and a half following a three-vehicle collision.

The crash happened at Muskham near to the turn-off for Old Great North Road.

Traffic was diverted off the A1 at North Muskham.

The crash resulted in considerable congestion as the A1 southbound was completely blocked.

Nottinghamshire Police said that although the crash appeared to be very serious initially, it is not believed to have resulted in any serious injuries.

The crash happened at around 5pm.
