A46 southbound re-opens after serious collision

A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a collision on the A46 southbound between Farndon and Bingham on the road near Kneeton.

Emergency services were on the scene and the road was closed between the junctions of the B6166 near Farndon and the A6097 close to Bingham.

Police were called at 12.42am to a report of a collision between a car and a motorbike.

Motorists are being advised that delays will remain in the area due to volume of traffic.
