Monday bin collections switched to this Saturday in Rushcliffe due to The Queen's funeral
New bin collection dates are in place for parts of Rushcliffe following the Bank Holiday announced for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s State Funeral on Monday.
All residents who were due to have their grey or blue bins collected on Monday will now have them collected two days earlier on Saturday, from 7am.
Green bin collections in Keyworth, East Leake, Bingham, Aslockton, Saxondale, Owthorpe and Greenacres mobile home park are also operating to a revised schedule.
Keyworth residents will now have their green bins collected Tuesday of next week, East Leake, the Wednesday, Bingham and Aslockton the Thursday and Saxondale, Owthorpe and Greenacres, Friday, September 23.
Bins should be out on those days for 7am.
The updated schedule follows the national Bank Holiday announced for the State Funeral and marks the last day of the period of national mourning.
Rushcliffe Borough Council’s cabinet portfolio holder for environment and safety, Rob Inglis said: “We’ve changed our bin collection dates on the Bank Holiday Monday for the State Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II and our waste teams are working hard to ensure there are arrangements in place for all bins to be collected on alternative days.
“We understand residents in Rushcliffe who usually have their bins collected on Monday will be affected by our revised bin collection and thank residents for ensuring their grey, blue or green bin is put out on their new date.

The bin collection times for affected residents will return to normal the following week.
