Sherwood Police report Southwell bins hit by arsonists.




A Southwell street was struck by arson on the weekend, police say.

Sherwood Police have reported on social media that a group of allegedly drunken youths have been setting fire to plastic bins in Southwell.

Police say that a resident on Church Street was awoken by a group outside her property in the early hours and a few moments later a bin was set alight on the driveway and caused damage to the wall and tree.

Another bin was set alight on Arnold Avenue last week along with a for sale sign board on Leeway Road.

Police say anyone caught committing acts of arson will be arrested.
