Blocked railway line causing hour-long delays on trains from Newark Northgate Station

Trains have been delayed by up to 60 minutes, cancelled or revised due to a blocked line.

Edinburgh bound services from Newark Northgate are disrupted this morning (Wednesday) due to a problem with a train's pantograph near Widdrington.

The northbound line between Newcastle and Alnmouth is blocked, causing delays along the line, including at Newark Northgate.

Disruption is expected until at least 11.30am today.
