Bonfire Night: Fireworks displays in Newark, Bingham and Southwell
Fireworks displays are due to take place across the Advertiser area for Bonfire Night.
Wednesday, November 4
Newark R&M Cricket Club are holding their event at their Kelham Road ground.
The club and bar will be open from 6pm, with the firework display starting an hour later at 7pm. Entry costs £2 per person or £5 per car.
A community bonfire will also be run by the Salvation Army at Meads Way in Balderton.
The event is free to enter, and all money raised from the evening will go towards the charity's Christmas Toy Appeal.
A bonfire will be lit at 6.45pm followed by the main firework display at 7pm.
Thursday, November 5
Both Newark Rugby Club and Southwell Rugby Club will hold their traditional celebrations on Thursday.
The event at Newark will feature fairground rides, a hog roast and other attractions at Kelham Road.
Gates open at 6pm. The bonfire will be lit at 7.30pm and fireworks will start at 7.45pm.
Entry is £5 for pedestrians or £15 per car.
At Southwell Rugby Club on Park Lane in the town, the bonfire will be lit at 7pm and fireworks will begin at 7.30pm.
Entry is £4 for adults, £2 for accompanied children, £3 for unaccompanied children or £10 for a family ticket.
There is a bonfire night at Harby Playing Field, on Church Road, Harby. Gates open at 6.30pm. Adult tickets cost £3 and children go free. There are fireworks, a bonfire, refreshments and food.
Saturday, November 7
Flowserve Sports and Social Club, Lowfield Lane, Balderton, will host a fireworks display.
A beacon will be lit at 6pm followed by the display at 6.30pm. Entry is £2.50.
Kelham Hall will host their bonfire night on the same evening with hot food and drinks accompanying a bonfire and firework display.
Tickets are £15 on the gate or £12 if they are purchased online.
Two separate fireworks displays will also take place in Winthorpe village on the Saturday night.
A children's display will begin from 6.45pm, before the main fireworks display starts at 7.15.
Entry for adults is £4 while children under-16 will be charged £2.
