Costa Coffee submits plans for store at Newark's new Maltings Retail Park, off Northgate, set to open later this year

A popular coffee chain has submitted proposals for a store at a Newark retail park set to open later this year.

The Costa Coffee branch would open in the Maltings Retail Park, off Northgate, alongside the long-awaited Marks & Spencer food store.

Costa would be within a 12,000 sq ft unit and there are also plans for 230 parking spaces.

This will form part of the 73,000 sq ft shopping park as a whole.

Costa's proposals have been submitted to Newark and Sherwood District Council.

The application will be considered by the planning committee, which has the final say.
