Bringing Balderton Guides, Browines and Rainbows together for coronation celebration
A youth group has brought together its members of all ages to celebrate the coronation.
Yesterday (Wednesday), Second Balderton Rainbows, Brownies and Guides got together for a evening of crafts and activities to mark the Coronation of King Charles III.
The girls had a party picnic together, before taking part in a range of activities organised by their leaders and young leaders.
The activities included biscuit decorating, collaging, designing a crown, creating a collaborative banner and learning new campfire songs.
Leader Georgia Travers said: “This was special event for our girls, not only because it is the first coronation any of us have experienced, but also because it is the first time our girls have had the chance to get together and mix across the sections.
“The night was highly successful and it was lovely to see some of the Guides, aged 10 to 14, helping the Rainbows and Brownies, aged 4 to 7 and 7 to 10, complete their crafts. We wanted the girls to feel like they were part of a bigger picture, whilst having fun and making new friends. We look forward to sharing more experiences together in the future.”
