Newark Creates, who is working with Curiosity Creators is inviting people to join Newark Parade as dancers
Festival community parade organisers are looking for people over the age of seven to be one of the parade dancers.
Newark Creates is working alongside Curiosity Creators to create a community parade as part of Newark Festival on Bank Holiday Monday (August 25). at 4.15pm, with people gathering from 3.30pm.
People aged over seven, ideally teens and adults, are invited to join the parade, and the short rehearsal on August 23 with the parade’s choreographer.
Dancers will learn an ‘easy dance’ and then wear some ‘fabulous’ costume props during the lively parade, filled with dance and music.

Sara Bullimore, of Newark Creates said: "There are lots of amazing opportunities to join us as we celebrate summer alongside our friends at Newark Festival!
“We are delighted to be working with a team of talented artists who will work with the community to create some outstanding, colourful creations.
“Newark will be filled with music, colour and summer!"
Families are also invited to free workshops dedicated to making some carnival costumes and props at Inspire Buttermarket.
