Newark Creates, who is working with Curiosity Creators is inviting people to join Newark Parade as dancers




Festival community parade organisers are looking for people over the age of seven to be one of the parade dancers.

Newark Creates is working alongside Curiosity Creators to create a community parade as part of Newark Festival on Bank Holiday Monday (August 25). at 4.15pm, with people gathering from 3.30pm.

People aged over seven, ideally teens and adults, are invited to join the parade, and the short rehearsal on August 23 with the parade’s choreographer.

Dancers will learn an ‘easy dance’ and then wear some ‘fabulous’ costume props during the lively parade, filled with dance and music.

Families are also invited to free workshops dedicated to making some carnival costumes and props at Inspire Buttermarket.
