Six new coronavirus cases confirmed in Newark and Sherwood today (Sunday, June 20) according to Public Health England




Six new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Newark and Sherwood, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

Ashfield 9,846 (up 11) Bassetlaw 8,343 (up 7) Broxtowe 7,395 (up 12) Gedling 8,494 (up 20) Mansfield 8,434 (up 8) Newark and Sherwood 7,543 (up 6) Rushcliffe 7,240 (up 29) Nottingham City 31,860 (up 78) Nottinghamshire 57,295 (up 93).

In the last seven days there have been 43 positive cases recorded in Newark and Sherwood, which is up five.

In the latest 24-hour period, no new deaths were reported in Newark and Sherwood within 28 days of the person testing positive for the virus. The total number of deaths remains at 201.

According to the latest public data, 4,620,968 (up 10,321) patients in the UK have tested positive and 127,970 (up 14) people have died within 28 days of positive test.

The number of people vaccinated with the first dose up to June 18 is 4,620,968 and the total for the second dose is 31,087,325.

Nottinghamshire is now at the start of a third coronavirus wave, according to the lead Public Health expert for the county Jonathan Gribbin.
