Newark court listings: Theft of a piggy bank and assault on Nottingham detention officer
This week's Nottingham Magistrates' Court listings have been released.
Cases in the Newark area include a theft of a piggy bank and the assault of a detention officer.

A WOMAN who assaulted a detention officer at the Bridewell custody suite received a suspended prison sentence of 12 weeks.
Sabrina Winfield, 27, of Nottingham Road, Lowdham, pleaded guilty at Nottingham Magistrates' Court and was ordered to pay the officer compensation of £100.
The jail sentence was suspended for 12 months.
Adam Tegart, 26, of the same address, was jailed after admitting assaulting a man, stealing word, counting and colouring books, interfering with a vehicle, burglary of the Nottingham Knight pub for £100 of wine, and the theft of speakers and a sat nav.
Tegart was said to have flagrant disregard for people and property and was jailed for 14 weeks.
He must pay compensation of £150 to the pub and £149 to the owner of the speakers and sat nav.
A WOMAN was spared an immediate custodial sentence by Nottingham magistrates, despite pleading guilty to seven criminal offences, because her parents are helping her turn her life around.
Crystal Taylor, 38, of Triumph Close, Eakring, admitted stealing a bottle of Jack Daniels and two bottles of lemonade, theft of alcohol, cigarettes and soft drinks, a further theft of booze, another of alcohol and soft drinks and one of tobacco, as well as driving without a licence and driving while uninsured.
Taylor, who was under a conditional discharge for theft when she re-offended, received 16 weeks in total, suspended for 12 months, and must take part in rehabilitation.
She was also banned from entering the Premier Stores on Turner Lane, Boughton, where all of thefts took place, for a year.
ASSAULT victims will receive £400 in compensation each from their assailant.
Joshua Moran, 22, of Albert Avenue, Balderton, admitted assaulting two males on Hollowdyke Lane, Fernwood, on May 15 and was ordered to pay a fine of £923 in respect of each offence.
He must also pay costs of £266, meaning there’s £2,912 to pay in total.
A MAN who stole a piggy bank containing £160 was fined £60.
Karl Hanifin, 35, of Sycamore Road, Ollerton, who admitted committing the theft at a house in Boughton, must also pay costs of £117.
