Crews put out fire at Bakkavor in Newark

Two fire crews put out an oven fire at Bakkavor Desserts, in Newark.

The crews, from Newark and Collingham, were called to the premises on Jessop Way at 4.37am today (Wednesday).

The fire was in an industrial oven on the ground floor of a two-floor building.

Four breathing apparatus, one hosereel jet and a thermal imaging camera were used.

Crews left at 6.20am.
