Travel : Delays on East Coast Main Line due to broken down train near Newark

A freight train has broken down near Newark, causing delays for passengers.

Virgin Trains East Coast, which runs services on the line, said the delays were up to 60 minutes.

The broken-down train is on the northbound track.

The 1.54pm Newark to London service has been cancelled.

Virgin Trains said it expected to operate "a good service" by 4pm.
