High-end labels of ball gowns and prom dresses are among items for sale at Beaumond House Resource and Information Centre this afternoon.

Beaumond House Community Hospice has created a pop-up shop in Stodman Street, using items which were left over from a designer clothing sale earlier in the year.

A number of the items have been unworn and were donated from businesses, while other dresses are in good condition.

The hospice's fundraising and marketing manager, Cathy Lowe, said it was a great opportunity to support the hospice.

"We have a facility in the town which has the space and also a dressing room area so we thought it would be good to take advantage of it," she said.

"The dresses are all fantastic quality and cost less than £10 so there's a chance to find a real bargain here today.

The sale will be going on until 4pm this afternoon.
