Halfway Home Dog Rescue, Collingham is hosting a dog show
A rescue centre is hosting a dog show and open day to raise funds to improve the lives of dogs in its care.
Halfway Home Dog Rescue, Swinderby Road, Collingham is hosting the show on Sunday, September 1.
All dogs and their owners are welcome to visit and take part, however, people need to register beforehand.
There are 15 categories for the dog show, running from 12noon until 4pm.
These include cheeky youngster, growing old gracefully for seven years plus, pretty woman, prince charming, tiny terrorist (mini headache), a partner in crime (best friend), HWH most appealing bitch, HWH most handsome dog.
After lunch, the competition will continue in the different categories such as young handler under 15 years old, happiest hound (get that tail wagging), interesting back history, greatest showman (single trick), dog judge would like to take home, best in show bitch and best in show dog.
To register a dog it is £2 per class per dog for the chance to win prizes and rosettes.
Registration will be open from Saturday (August 31) 11am until Sunday (September 1) at 11am.
There will also be a raffle, BBQ, cakes, a tombola and refreshments available on the day.
