Deerstock : Dozens of acts perform at not-for-profit festival

More than 30 bands appeared at this year’s Deerstock festival.

The charity event took place over the weekend at the Newton Cross Country Course, Newton.

The annual music event is not-for-profit, bringing together local and national bands and raising money for good causes.

It featured the main stage and Roy’s Place, plus the woodland Guerrilla Stage for acoustic acts.

Acts included Dirty Vertebrae, The Doggen All Star Band, Headsticks and Transglobal Underground.

In the six years the festival has been running it has raised £55,000 for charities, including UNICEF, Help For Heroes, CALM, Reach and Alzheimer's Society.
