Dress to impress on race day

This year’s Ladies’ Day at Southwell Racecourse looks set to be another memorable occasion, with first-class hospitality and exciting racing.

It is a glamorous occasion, something of a mini-Ascot, when the ladies can dress up in their finest, complete with hat.

This stylish event comes to Southwell Racecourse today.

Ladies’ Day, held in association with the Newark Advertiser, is the most popular fixture of Southwell Racecourse’s season.

Ladies are encouraged to dress up and compete for an array of prizes for the best-dressed lady, best hat, and best shoes.

The gates open at 11.45am and there will be a full day of entertainment.

It starts at 12.30pm with a ladies’ fashion show and will continue after racing with live music from Battle Of The Divas.
