YOUNGSTERS took part in an African drumming workshop and made Fairtrade cookies as part of a project on Ghana.
Pupils aged eight and nine at Bowbridge Primary School, Newark, gave a performance using the African drums and other instruments to parents.
Mr Steven Moore, a year four teacher, said the workshop taught the children about African culture.
The making of cookies was used to explain the principles of Fairtrade.
Mr Moore said: “We have been looking at cocoa production in Ghana, and looking at Fairtrade, the products people buy in the supermarket and how that can help farmers.”
