There were over 8,500 people at this year's Ladies Day.
It was a family affair this year at Ladies Day.
Racecourse chief executive Mark Clayton said that there were many families attending, with multiple generations coming together.
It was certainly a family affair for Rebecca Haggar, from Newark, who was 35 weeks pregnant. She attended Ladies Day with her sister, Sally-Ann Buckley, and niece, Georgia Buckley, 17.
Rebecca said: “It’s a nice family day out for us, we come every year to have a flutter. It’s nice to see so many people here.”
Danni Gray, from Kelham, was attending with her three-year-old daughter Keira Gray and her friend Tanya Hallam, who was with her daughter Nyla-Rose Carpenter, also three.
Danni said: “We come most years, and last time we were here together we were pregnant with our daughters, so it’s nice to be here again and spend time with our girls.”
Dressed for the occasion was 90-year-old Lois Lightfoot, from Papplewick, was crowned best dressed lady at the event.
Lois said: “It feels unbelievable to be the best dressed,” she said, “I have thoroughly enjoyed myself. There were lots of beautifully dressed women here today.”
Lois’s suit was a bargain in the sale from Jacques Vert, and her hat was another steal from eBay for just £12.
In second place was Lucy Davies, from Southwell, who styled her outfit around her headwear, which came from designer Justine Bradley Hall. Her dress was from Forever Unique, and her shoes from Miss Sixty.
Sue Browning, in third place, said that she didn’t have one iota that she’d be nominated as one of the best dressed at Ladies Day.
