Cancelled Bonfire Night fireworks return as a festive spectacular at Newark Showground on Saturday, December 19
An open-air spectacular display of fireworks has been re-scheduled to take place at Newark Showground.
The Bonfire Night event had to be cancelled due to coronavirus, but it's back on Saturday, December 19.
It follows the successful staging of a similar event in Peterborough.
This time it will be festive-themed.
The November event sold out in two weeks, so it's advised to book early to avoid disappointment. A number of tickets purchased for Bonfire Night have been transferred to the festive one.
Last entry on the night is 6.15pm, with the display starting at 6.30pm.
Tickets can be booked online, and are charged on a per vehicle basis at £25 per car.
On arrival, ticket will be scanned, and you'll enter the site and stewards will help you park up.
Gates will close 15 minutes prior to the firing time.
Unfortunately they'll be no food or drinks served and they'll be no funfair due to restrictions to minimise the movement of people around the site. Feel free to bring refreshments, but take the litter home.
Organisers, Entertainment Effects, have partnered with Radio Newark for the event, is supporting the Newark-based Children's Bereavement Centre.
Sadly, every 22 minutes in the UK a child is bereaved of a parent. The Children’s Bereavement Centre offers support to these children at one of the most traumatic times in their lives. By making a donation, you’ll enable it to continue the valuable work it does in helping these children through their grief.
