Firm's Newark branch donates to foodbank
Travail Employment Group Newark are doing their bit to ensure disadvantaged people in the Newark area can eat and be merry this Christmas by donating to the town's foodbank.
Regional director Lisa Abel said: "As we hurtle towards that festive time of year – Christmas, the season of goodwill and peace to all, Travail Employment Group Newark decided to try and give a little something back to the local community by supporting our local foodbank.
"Travail recognise that it’s an expensive time of year for everyone and since the beginning of November we have been buying weekly festive goodies which they will drop off to the Newark foodbank the week before Christmas, giving a little helping hand to local families so some will hopefully get a chance to enjoy the festive foods in the collection.
"If anyone would like to donate items, and is struggling to get to foodbank drop-off points, you are welcome to drop it to the Travail office on Appletongate and we will take it along with our collection week commencing December 18."
