The Ropewalk, Southwell closed for five days due to roadworks

A road is closed for five days from today, due to roadworks.

The Ropewalk, Southwell is closed until 5pm on February 17.

Work is being carried out in the area by Utility Distribution Networks Ltd.

The closure affects the road between Monkton Drive and Apple Tree Close, with a diversion in place via Kirklington Road and Lower Kirklington Road.

The Nottingham City Transport Pathfinder 26 bus route between Southwell and Nottingham City Centre ­— which has two stops on the Ropewalk ­— is also diverted.

The operator's status update said all buses entering Southwell during these times will operate the reverse of the inbound route via Westgate, Church Street/Easthorpe, Newark Road and Lower Kirklington Road.
