Four-year-old Logan got so upset about the amount of dog mess in East Stoke, where he lives, that he asked his mum of he could go round picking it up.

Mum Ellie Mimmack told Logan that due to the health risks, that wasn’t a good idea so, instead, he has started a campaign to to get walkers to clear up after their pets and wants a dog bin in the village.

Ellie said: “Since lockdown, East Stoke has become a hot-spot for dog walkers, and because of this, there has been a huge increase in dog mess bags being left on the paths around the village.

“They even dump the bags behind the village hall.

“Logan gets very upset by this and has been drawing posters to educate people.

“The parish council said not having a dog bin hadn’t been an issue before, but they will now put it on the agenda.”
