Staff from Fisher German’s Newark office, on Cross Lane, help colleagues hit £25,000

Employees of a Newark branch of property consultants have helped their colleagues to hit their £25,000 fundraising target — with 11 weeks of the challenge still to go.

Staff from Fisher German’s Newark office, on Cross Lane, took part in a 93-mile relay from Newark to Knutsford, where they walked, cycled, and even paddleboarded over a five day journey to raise money for DEBRA, which supports people living with EB, often known as the ‘butterfly skin’ condition.

The charity trek was completed as part of the company’s wider “Big 25 challenge”, where teams from across the country completed a 2,400 mile national relay between all 25 of Fisher German’s UK offices to celebrate 25 years in business.

Fisher German has also pledged to match-fund any donations up to £25,000 from supporters, meaning at least £50,000 will now be divided between the good causes.

“Everyone is having a lot of fun coming up with a plan for each leg, and we’ve seen plenty of unique and creative modes of travel.

Fisher German’s Newark employees also recently met some furry friends during a team building visit to J and J Alpacas in Dry Doddington.
