GCSE results 2024: The Dukeries Academy sees results improvement for a third year in a row
An academy is celebrating its best set of GSCE results post-pandemic as results continue to improve for the third year in a row.
Despite rising grade boundaries nationally, the Dukeries Academy, Ollerton, is celebrating improved progress in every area.
These include English and Maths, as well as a range of vocational subjects.
Principal, Mike Brett said: “We are very proud of our Year 11 pupils who have raised the bar once again.
“They have worked exceptionally hard alongside our dedicated staff to achieve our best results since 2019.
“Most of all, we thank our supportive families who have worked hard with us and with their children to make improvements our whole community can be proud of.”
Some of the school’s exceptional individual performances include Isaac Littlewood, who achieved six Grade 9s and two Grade 8s, and Lewis Goodwin who achieved two Grade 9s, a Grade 8 and four Grade 7s.
Several pupils also made outstanding progress, including Lucas Tong and Jean-Michel Garcia who both achieved over two grades higher than expected in every subject, and Elissa Dixon, who was also in the top five for pupil progress.
