Helping to fix refurbishment for patient area




A charity that supports projects to fix, repair, maintain and improve properties and facilities for those in need has given £5,000 to Beaumond House Community Hospice.

The Screwfix Foundation, which celebrates its fifth birthday this year, was set up by Screwfix to help local projects throughout the UK.

Jo Harbord, corporate fundraising officer at the hospice, said they were very grateful for the donation of much-needed funds.

"The funding will be used to refurbish our patient areas in the hospice," she said.
"Beaumond House aims to modernise the hospice, to create an environment that is attractive to all adult ages.
"This pleasant, light and contemporary environment will offer the best possible quality of life where patients can feel at home."

The storemanager of the Newark branch of Screwfix said he was pleased that a local charity like Beaumond House ies has been awarded funding by the Screwfix Foundation."
