Balderton householder receives anti-vax propaganda leaflets through his letterbox

A householder said he hopes anybody else who had the same anti-vax propaganda leaflets through their door isn’t swayed by their messaging.

Royal Mail has confirmed to Kevin Rookes, of Balderton — who supports the vaccine — that it wasn’t responsible for delivering the anti-vax leaflets that arrived around the same time has his post.

The three leaflets condemned the vaccines with conspiracy theories, supposed data to back them up, and case studies in support of the points made.

Vaccine.
Vaccine.

Mr Rookes said: “I assume then that it was canvassers who were in the area. There are a lot of conspiracy theories out there and putting them down on paper and delivering them as leaflets adds weight to them.

“I hope anyone else who received them doesn’t give them a second thought.

“I hope people aren’t swayed by these theories. You can find a conspiracy theory attached to just about anything and find a case study that appears to back it up if you look hard enough.

“The fact is the science and the data is that coronavirus is a deadly virus and the vaccines are saving lives. I encourage everyone to get their vaccine and help keep themselves and everyone else safe.”
