Jury in kidnap case discharged this afternoon for technical reasons - case may resume on Monday

The jury in a case in a kidnap case were discharged this afternoon for technical reasons.

It is hoped to resume again on Monday.

Philip Greengrass, 51, of Bolton Close, Radcliffe; Joseph Chiarella, 52, of Chapel Lane, Bingham; and Thanh Nguyen, 47, of Elford Rise, Sneinton, deny kidnap at Nottingham Crown Court.

Quoc Nguyen, 51, of Plumptre Street, Nottingham, Greengrass, Joseph Chiarella, and Thanh Nguyen deny false imprisonment and three counts each of blackmail.

George Chiarella, 56, of Town End Lane, Flintham, denies one count of blackmail and false imprisonment.

Quoc Nguyen, Greengrass and Thanh Nguyen deny grievous bodily harm with intent.
