KFC reopens its drive-thru lane at Lincoln Road store in Newark
KFC has reopened its drive-thru lane at its Newark store.
The chicken store, on Lincoln Road, will be open for drive-thru orders from 12pm today (Wednesday, May 6).
KFC said: "We've been working hard to responsibly reopen our restaurants and now we're spreading our wings a little further.
"In line with government advice, we've decided to open the drive-thru lanes at 55 of our UK restaurants that are already open for delivery.
"We’re reopening in a responsible way, this means we’ll be serving a limited menu to help the smaller kitchen teams maintain social distancing.
"If you’re not near one of the lucky hundred, never fear. We’re working hard to reopen more over the coming weeks."
The Newark store is only open for drive-thru orders according to its website, with delivery orders not applicable through Deliveroo, Just Eat or Uber Eats.
It is the first time the store has been opened since it announced it would close all branches on March 23.
