A total of 82 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Newark and Sherwood, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

In the last seven days there have been 538 positive cases recorded in Newark and Sherwood, which is up 21 cases on the previous seven days.

In the latest 24-hour period, there have been no new deaths reported in Newark and Sherwood within 28 days of the person testing positive for the virus, leaving the total at 227.

According to the latest public data, 8,979,236 (up 43,467) patients in the UK have tested positive and 140,392 (up 186) people have died within 28 days of positive test.

The number of people vaccinated with the first dose up to October 28 is 49,882,904 (up 44,702), the total for the second dose is 45,651,222 (up 23,723) and the total for the booster is 7,293,638 (up 297,656).
