Level crossing back in action following failure at Newark Castle station

Technical problems which caused issues at level crossing barriers outside Newark Castle station have been fixed.

Network Rail have confirmed that the barriers were back to full function at 12.30pm, following reports of a failure at 10.30am this morning.

Engineers were initially able to manually raise the barriers which allowed traffic to move freely.

Marshalls Coaches said the issue had caused delays to all of their services.
