Lorry crashes at Bilsthorpe

This HGV came to rest on its side partially in a field after crashing off the A617 near to the Belle Eau industrial park at Bilsthorpe on Monday morning.

The aftermath was captured on the dashcam of Advertiser reader Michael Kirk, of Lincoln Road, Newark, who was on his way to work in Mansfield at the time.

The crash was reported to Nottinghamshire Police at 6.30am.

A police spokesman said an ambulance was called but no-one was taken to hospital.

He said that because the lorry came to rest partially in a field and off the carriageway, there were no significant traffic delays.
