Magistrates issue curfew and pub ban to Newark woman
A 20-year-old has been banned from licensed premises by magistrates as a condition of her bail.
Chloe Parr, of Staunton Road, Newark, appeared before Nottingham magistrates on Monday via video link. She admitted affray at Clifton House, Grange Road, Newark, on October 22 and using or threatening unlawful violence.
At an earlier hearing, Parr had also admitted assaulting a police support officer and a police officer.
The case was adjourned for pre-sentence reports until December 29.
She was bailed on condition she lives at her home address; obeys a curfew between 8pm to 7am, apart from on Tuesdays so she can attend a regular appointment; does not possess an open vessel of alcohol in a public place; is not drunk in public; and does not enter licensed premises.
The prosecutor, Mr Aliz Zaki, said Parr had been seen waving a knife at a party.
Someone tried to grab her wrist to stop her and as a result suffered a small cut.
Two weeks earlier Parr was involved in an incident in which she became aggressive after drinking.
She lunged towards a police community support officer and connected with their elbow.
A police officer went to help and was spat at.
'She accepts she was intoxicated'
Miss Nicola Gray, defending, said Parr was invited to the party and went into the house carrying a bag containing alcohol belonging to another person.
There was also a knife in the bag, which Parr knew nothing about. When it dropped out she picked it up.
Miss Gray said Parr was adamant she had no intention of using the knife and no threats were made.
But, she said, Parr accepted the circumstances could have caused alarm to other people.
“She accepts she was intoxicated and her recollection of events is hazy,” said Miss Gray.
Miss Gray said Parr had completed a detox programme while on remand and, with the support of her mother, was planning to seek help.
