Police are warning motorists in Lincolnshire to anticipate delays as a significant abnormal load travels through the region.

The load, weighing 254 tonnes and measuring 40 metres in length, began its journey from Worksop at 9.30am today (Tuesday) and is expected to reach Immingham Dock by 2.30pm.

The route includes the A460, A57, A620, A1, A46, A15, M180, and A160.

Due to its size, the load will move slowly, prompting a police escort to ensure safe transit.

The journey will cause minor delays primarily during late morning and early afternoon.

Drivers should plan alternative routes to avoid disruptions and expect some inconvenience along the designated route.
