Man indecently exposed himself to two sets of girls in Newark
Police in Newark are appealing for information after a man indecently exposed himself on two separate occasions in the town.
Nottinghamshire Police are investigating both incidents, which were reported to have taken place between 3pm and 6pm on Saturday April 18.
During the first incident, a man approached two girls in their early teens on the walkway at the side of the park off Barnby Road.
In a similar incident reported later that day, the man reportedly approached two other girls of a similar age on the park opposite John Gold Avenue, Newark.
He indecently exposed himself on both occasions without attempting to engage any of the girls in conversation.
Inspector Louise Clarke, neighbourhood policing inspector for Newark, said: “We are urging families to be on their guard and to report anything suspicious while officers continue their enquiries into these worrying but isolated reports, which we are treating as linked.
“We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have seen a man who was seen in the area at the time of the reports and was described as white, bald, aged in his late forties to early fifties and is of skinny build.
“He was seen wearing a white vest in the first incident and a red T-shirt in the second, as well as wearing shorts and white socks in both reports. We would encourage anyone who saw anything suspicious that day to come forward.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 721 of April 19.
