Mini-digger stolen from A46 contractor

A Caterpillar mini-digger was stolen from the security compound at the rear of Bridgford Garden Centre, East Bridgford, on Tuesday night.
The thieves scaled a 2.4m spiked top palisade fence into the compound and successfully started the digger.
They then smashed down the fence and loaded the digger and the attached earth auger implement on to a vehicle. A neighbour heard reported hearing a loud crashing noise at around 10.30pm that night.
The digger belongs to A46 contractor Copeland Fencing Ltd based at Newton and has the serial number 0131612.
Police are investigating.
