The Dukeries Academy, Ollerton, celebrates A-level result day successes
Sixth formers are celebrating another successful year at The Dukeries Academy, Ollerton.
The academy saw a rise in A-level and academic results from last year, with further improved progress in applied subjects.
Amongst the many individual successes, Lewis Ayres has secure a place at Oxford University to study geography after achieving three A grades.
Other successful students include Abbie McCaskill, who will be going on to Nottingham Trent University to study health and social care, with a Distinction in applied science, and Maddison Etches, who will be studying math at the University of Sheffield after receiving an A* in Maths as well as further A and a Distinction.
Head, Mike Brett said: “We are delighted for our students who gained their first-choice university places.
“Students have worked incredibly hard this year in partnership with their teachers and families, which has been reflected in the outcomes they have achieved and their future destinations”.
The Academy said the positive set of results cemented the legacy of its sixth form.
