Nottinghamshire’s Household Waste Recycling Centres change their opening hours to summer ones from today.

The centres will open at 8am as usual, but will stay open until 8pm every day, until the end of September.

The 14 centres, including Newark, Langar, Southwell and Calverton, are able to recycle paper and cardboard, cans and aerosols, plastic bottles and glass bottles and jars, as well as a range of other items including electrical and electronic items, furniture, batteries including car batteries, engine oil, scrap metal, textiles, wood, bric-a-brac, fluorescent tubes and light bulbs, used cooking oil, garden waste and small quantities of soil and hardcore.
