Confirmed coronavirus cases in Newark and Sherwood reaches 6,542 today (Monday, February 22) as easing of national lockdown set to be announced by Prime Minister Boris Johnson

In the last seven days there have been 256 positive cases recorded in Newark and Sherwood. This represents a slight decrease.
In the latest 24-hour period, no new deaths in Newark and Sherwood were reported within 28 days of testing positive for the virus, according to the latest data. It leaves the total at 191.

An easing of the national lockdown is due to be announced by Prime Minister Boris Johnson at around 3pm today (Monday).
