They included Collingham Rural Advice Centre, Men In Sheds, Safer Streets, Newark and Sherwood District Council, Collingham Parish Council, Insight, Open Door Dementia support, Collingham Village Care, Collingham and District U3A, and Collingham Befriending,

Linda Dales, district councillor for Collingham, said: “We had a really good turn-out and it was nice to see everyone out and about again.

“We helped to connect lots of people to support services and some groups even managed to recruit some new volunteers. As a district councillor I work with a lot of health and well-being groups — and I wanted to bring it out into the community.”

MP Robert Jenrick said: “On Friday I held the Collingham Community Fair in the Memorial Hall where local groups and organisations could exhibit what they do to the local community. It was such a fantastic time, with many exhibitors and people from the community coming along and seeing how they can get more involved in their local area. After such a long time it was great to see so many familiar faces.

“I would like to make a special thank you to Linda Dales and Sue Gray for all the of the hard work they put into the event, not to mention the delicious cakes. If you are from Collingham or the surrounding areas and would like to get involved locally do get in contact with the parish council or my office.”
