Asda Petrol Station on London Road in Newark on Trent closed while electrical work is being carried out

A petrol station is closed while work is being undertaken inside its kiosk.

The Asda on London Road, Newark has tape over the entrance and exit points across its driveway.

The normally busy site is empty today (Friday, December 8) with just the occasional car travelling in before leaving again once it is realised the site is closed.

The site is currently having electrical work carried out said a site spokesman.

It is unknown when the petrol station will be open again, we will provide updates in due course.

Update: It has been reported that the petrol station has now reopened.
