Nottingham Magistrates' Court listings round-up




A 61 year old who admitted harassing a woman has been jailed and given a restraining order.

Samuel Hussan, of Bevercotes Close, Newark, sent the woman unwanted messages and went to her home, despite being subject to relevant bail conditions.

His case is among the latest listings at Nottingham Magistrates' Court.

Hussan, who was subject to a suspended prison sentence at the time, was sentenced to eight weeks for harassment by Nottingham magistrates.

He received a total of 21 weeks, further jailed for the offences that were suspended, which were for contravention of environmental health permits and running illegal waste sites at Hawton and Long Bennington.

• A woman who failed to provide a specimen of breath when deemed to be in charge of a vehicle was fined £130 and had ten points placed on her driver’s licence.

Joanne Timmins, 48, of Hoe View Road, Cropwell Bishop, changed her plea from innocent to guilty and must pay £334 in costs as a result.

• A fraudster was conditionally discharged for two years by magistrates.

Gareth Warlow, 42, of Churchill Drive made a gain, through false representation, of £1,500.

Warlow pleaded guilty and was told to pay the money back.

•A 43 year old has been disqualified from driving for a year by Nottingham magistrates.

Ianici Slobodan, of Cross Street, Newark, had been arrested for being drunk and disorderly on Massey Street.

He refused to provide a breath test at Mansfield Police Station and was further arrested for failing to provide a specimen when suspected of having attempted to drive.

Slobodan, who pleaded guilty, was also fined £120 and told to pay £119 in costs.
