Newark: Boys from Bullpit Road Day Nursery deliver donations to Beaumond House Hospice Care
Three nursery boys dressed up as superheroes to deliver donations to Beaumond House Hospice Care, writes Ellie Danemann.
The Bullpit Road Day Nursery youngsters managed to raise £140 from staff and parents towards their annual Christmas hamper.
The festive package contained wine, biscuits, sweets and nail varnish.
Manager of the nursery Katharine Whitlock said: “We’ve done the hamper for the last three or four years.
“We thought it would be nice for parents to get involved and I think this is the most we have raised.
“The boys are really good friends and were very excited to do it and were absolutely full of it.
“We had a dress-up day for someone's birthday at the nursery.
"They are our three superheroes.”
Kat Wright, fundraising manager, said: “The fact the nursery is thinking of us every single year and donating feels like we can count on them.
“It’s a feel-good factor that the kids have got behind it too.
“The boys were very excited and chuffed. They weren’t shy at all and happily chatting away about their outfits.”
The nursery is planning on continuing their donations this year.
