Balderton Village Day Nursery children enjoy long-awaited day out

Children at Balderton Village Day Nursery enjoyed their first trip out since the start of the covid-19 pandemic.

Eight pre-schoolchildren caught the bus from Balderton to Newark Bus Station.

Pre-school leader Rachel Yarnell said: “We then walked to the castle to explore.

“Once we could see that the sand park (at Tolney Lane) wasn’t busy we went for a play.

“With time to spare we walked to the market, dancing to some buskers as we walked past.

“Before going back to nursery, we stopped off at PJ’S American Diner for an ice-cream.

“We had a great time. The children love doing activities like this.”
