A new Pandora store in Newark was opened by the Cope family jewellers on Saturday.

The Pandora range had been sold in Cope's premises on Bridge Street for the past five years but will now be available in the Stodman Street venue.

A director with Cope, Susan Cope, said: "It's a new era for us and to have two shops in Newark is something we are very proud of.

"It's great to see the full Pandora range in all its glory in a beautifully purposely-decorated shop."

The shop will be managed by Hannah Leake, who is the sixth generation of the Cope family. Cope jewellers began in 1845 and has been in Newark since 1966.

The Mayor of Newark, Mr Tom Bickley, gave a speech to mark the opening.
