Children took part in a Wear It Pink Day in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.

Pupils at the William Gladstone Academy, Newark, were encouraged to wear pink or a colour as close as possible. Some of the boys joined in by dyeing their hair pink for the day.

The event was organised by teacher Sadie Powell who also ran extra fundraising events for staff.

It is hoped the day will have raised £300 for breast cancer research.
