Search warrant executed on Tolney Lane, Newark, tonight

Police have executed a search warrant on the Tolney Lane Traveller site tonight.

Newark Neighbourhood Policing Team and Nottinghamshire Police Operational Support conducted the warrant on a site on Tolney Lane.

Officers are continuing with enquiries and have promised an update soon.

Witnesses reported seeing a lot of police vehicles in convoy to execute the warrant.

It is not known whether the action is related to an ongoing inquiry into an allegation of attempted murder, for which a man has been charged.
