A-levels 2025: Minster School, Southwell, celebrates another year of exceptional success
A-level results have ‘reflected students’ hard work, resilience, and ambition’ as a Southwell school celebrated another year of success.
The Minster School, in Southwell, has announced that the results suggest that the strength of this year’s outcome will match the school’s exceptional performance in 2024.
Last year, the school achieved one of the highest value-added scores in the country.
The average grade achieved this year was a B, underscoring the consistently high academic standards across the cohort.
Headteacher, Ben Chaloner, said: “I am incredibly proud of our students for the resilience they have shown in overcoming challenges, the optimism with which they have approached their goals, and the wisdom they have gained through their learning journey.
“These results are a direct reflection of their dedication and hard work.
“I am also deeply grateful to our talented and committed staff for inspiring and guiding them, and to our parents and carers for the unwavering support they have provided along the way.”
Among the many highlights are outstanding individual performances across a range of subjects, with a vast number of pupils securing the top A* and A grades.
Many will now progress to prestigious universities, competitive apprenticeships, or embark on career paths.
