Collections will take place between noon and 4pm on Sunday and Monday in Long Bennington.

They will take place in Foston a week on Sunday in Foston, again between noon and 4pm.

All food collected will be divided equally between Grantham Foodbank, Newark Foodbank and the Long Bennington covid response team (A)LBERT.

Social distancing will be observed at all times during the collection process.

People are asked to leave all donations at the gate or boundary of their property.

All non-perishable items are welcome.

There is a greater need for the items listed below:

  • Grantham Foodbank:

Long-life full fat milk, sponge puddings, tinned fruit, tinned or dried potatoes, toilet paper, squash (all flavours), shaving foam and razors, tomato sauce and brown sauce.

  • Newark Food Bank:

Tinned fruit or meat, sponge puddings, instant mash and general toiletries.

(A)LBERT will accept all the above as well as perishables, including fruit and vegetables.

So, if you live in either village, look out for Super Mario and his friends out and about.
