Tappers from the Charlotte Hamilton School of Dance took part in a world record attempt

A total of 92 tappers from the Charlotte Hamilton School of Dance in Balderton took part in an attempt to break a world record on Sunday.

They were among dancers from across the UK involved in the attempt to have the most tappers performing the same routine to the same piece of music at the same time.

The students, who ranged from aged six to adult, performed at the Palace Theatre, Newark.

Their efforts raised £1,215 for Children In Need.

The results from the attempt will be known once the numbers have been collated and verified.
